How can I get involved?

The Foundation relies on volunteers to coordinate fundraising events, manage donor and community relations, and help with general operations. If you would like to lend your time and talent to the Foundation, we want to hear from you. We invite you to attend a meeting or contact a board member to learn more about our activities.

How I can I learn more about the SD113A Educational Foundation?

The SD 113A Educational Foundation holds monthly meetings. Please check our calendar for up to date information. These meetings are open to the public, and community members, corporate sponsors, parents and district staff are encouraged to attend and get involved.

How do I know how the money I donate will be spent?

Details on how funds are distributed are featured on the website and in our annual report. The Foundation awards grants twice yearly.

How much should I give?

Every gift, in any amount, contributes to a better education. Our goal is to have 100% of the families in SD113A contribute to the Educational Foundation. All children in the district benefit from the resources and programs the Foundation funds.

Checks should be made payable to “School District 113A Educational Foundation,” or click on the Donate button to use a credit card or PayPal account.

Can I designate how my donation is used?

The goal of the Foundation is to provide an exceptional and consistent education for all children in the district. To allow “special interest” funding of programs would not serve to build an equal and consistent educational foundation year after year for the entire district. The SD 113A Educational Foundation Board works very hard to evaluate grant requests. The Foundation invites your suggestions and input about how funds are allocated.

Are my donations tax exempt?

Yes. The SD 113A Educational Foundation is an Illinois non-profit, public benefit corporation. It is a tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.   The federal tax ID number for the Foundation (EIN) is 27-2567950. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
